BeinSports report Galatasaray are in talks to sign Manchester City midfielder Fernando… and this time it’s official.
The Turkish stock market has been informed about the discussions between Galatasaray and Manchester City, a step the Super Lig have to take when they’re close to a transfer.
Fanatik also report Galatasaray are closing in on a deal for the Manchester City player. Fernando is expected to arrive at Istanbul airport this evening at 21.30 local time, and he’ll be expecting a typical Turkish welcome.
The Turkish club have been chasing a midfield addition in recent weeks, and have already signed West Ham linked midfielder Badou Ndiaye.
Marouane Fellaini was linked to the club strongly at the weekend, but as Sport Witness pointed out at the time, there didn’t appear a lot of truth in the claims.
Galatasaray will be hopeful Fernando can feature in their friendly game against Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola has chosen to rely on other options at Manchester City, which has led to Fernando’s exit.
