Argentine outlet TNT Sports brought the latest updates on the Edinson Cavani saga during a live show on Tuesday evening.
Journalist Matías Bustos Milla claimed that Boca Juniors remain in contact with the Manchester United star, as they wait for a decision on his future because all the Buenos Side want to know is whether Cavani is coming or not.
Furthermore, there are currently no negotiations when it comes to his wages, as the club area are already aware of the amount they would have to spend on the signing.
It’s said Boca Juniors get some money from Juventus every year due to the transfer of Rodrigo Betancur, and they are now planning to use that money to pay for the wages of the Manchester United striker.
Milla mentions that Manchester United, Cavani and his entourage all tried to ‘press or accelerate’ his contract renewal with the Red Devils last week, and that didn’t happen.
So since his deal with the Old Trafford side expires in the summer, the striker remains the only one who will have the decisive word on his future.
