André Onana’s agent has insisting “it’s still early” to discuss his clients future, with Chelsea and other clubs believed to be sniffing around the Inter Milan goalkeeper.
Albert Botines has been speaking to TV Play in Italy, relayed by FC Inter News, about his client’s future after his impressive performances this season.
He’s been a key player in Inter’s success this year, particularly in their run to the Champions League final, where he has impressed on several occasions throughout that run.
Chelsea are one of those who have been linked with a move, with it felt they will move for a new goalkeeper in the summer as neither Edouard Mendy nor Kepa Arrizabalaga have impressed this season.
Indeed, a report yesterday made it clear that Chelsea were insisting on making a deal happen as Todd Boehly continues his efforts to reshape the club and do things his own way.
It seems he may be forced to wait on Onana, though, with his agent insisting that it’s still early to be discussing his future at Inter or elsewhere.
“Transfer market rumours are normal at this stage, but I prefer not to talk about it because it’s very early and now the boy is focused only on the pitch,” he said.
“We have a five-year contract with Inter. He has another four years on his contract and now he is focused only on the Serie A final and the Champions League final.
“He still has a long contract, don’t worry. He’s very happy, he’s playing for the strongest team in Italy.”
