Alexis Sanchez continues to be one of the most talked about players in the Chilean press, as local outlets keep following his controversial time at Manchester United.

Last week, we covered different sets of news. Some saying the star would benefit from José Mourinho’s departure, and others saying the manager’s sacking wouldn’t matter as Sanchez wants to leave the club anyway.

Now as Fenerbahce right-back Mauricio Isla landed in Santiago this week, he was quickly questioned about his national teammate, and claimed that Sanchez still has the will to succeed at Old Trafford.

“He’s sad, but I know he’s going to reverse his situation. He is someone who wants to succeed at Manchester United,” Isla told local outlets (via La Cuarta). “It’s for something he went there. There is a reason why he is the best paid player and he will prove it this coming year ”

Alexis Sanchez has spent the last few weeks in Chile, where besides recovering from an injury, he’s also finished shooting his movie and celebrated his 30th birthday.

Now back to Manchester, the Chilean international is working hard on his return, according to Man United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who called Sanchez a ‘workaholic’ a few days ago.
