After his agent spoke, it is now Marlos Moreno himself who has confirmed the move to Manchester City.
They’ve both talked to Win Sports this Friday, and the player commented on his departure from Atlético Nacional and his early transfer to European football.
When asked why he’s chosen to play for Manchester City, since many other sides were interested, Moreno said: “I’ve decided for Manchester because they’ve proposed to buy me and loan me to La Coruña. So I saw I’d have chances to play.”
The winger, who pointed out “there’s pressure everywhere, but what matters is to play, play and play”, also talked about how difficult will be to leave Colombia so young and join a top league.
“The change is drastic, because it’s very complicated, but that’s what I decided and I hope it’s the best choice.”
The South American media don’t seem to know how much Manchester City are paying for Moreno, since no values have been mentioned in the recent stories.
The move is set to be announced this weekend, as the player will fly to England on Saturday, according to his agent.
