Following all the panic regarding Richarlison’s injury at Tottenham’s match last weekend, there was a big relief when it was announced that the player would only be sidelined for a few weeks and should be fine for the World Cup.

The Brazilian national team see the Spurs’ star as an important piece in the squad, likely to be a starter in the tournament, and it’d be a big blow to miss him in Qatar.

But it turns out that despite the good news from Tottenham about the short time of recovery, the Seleção are still concerned about the situation. That’s something explained by O Globo today.

It’s said that Brazil’s staff are ‘in contact’ with Spurs to follow Richarlison’s recovery, and they ‘remain cautious’ about his presence in the World Cup.

It’s believed it’s still ‘too early to make a decision’ as there’s the need to see how his evolution will go.

Even if things happen as expected, his return to the pitch would be in a date very close to the call-up on the 7th of November.

Richarlison and his staff are said to be ‘optimistic’ that everything will go fine, and in case he’s fit by then, there should be ‘no problem’ for him to be in the squad.
