Italian side Frosione have recently received the visit of Federico Roccio, a stadium expert who spends his life in search of football grounds all over the world… and he’s rather fond of Celtic.
According to his Instagram, Roccio has already visited 536 different stadiums in 35 different countries. That’s why he calls himself the ‘Stadium Hunter, the first one in Italy’, and has even written a book about it.
So Frosione welcomed Roccio to their ground and made a short interview with him, which is featured on their website.
For one of the questions, they ask him what was the most beautiful ground he’s ever been to, and despite mentioning his childhood club AC Milan, his favourite stadium is located outside of Italy.
“Without a doubt, especially for the atmosphere, I can’t not say the Celtic Park in Glasgow,” said Roccio.
“I remember at the end of a Celtic – Milan, with the Rossoneri victorious, the home fans came down the away sector throwing their scarves. A beautiful gesture in today’s football.”
Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic aren’t having the best of seasons so far, but there’s never a shortage of glowing reports and opinions about the special atmosphere the Scottish Premiership club’s fans create.
