Scheduled for June 28th, England vs Belgium is up there, alongside Portugal vs Spain, with one of the more appetising fixtures of this World Cup’s group stages.

The third game for both sides, the game could prove decisive in who gets the better last 16 matchup, and the players expected to take part are already looking forward to it.

One team who will have a large chunk of their squad featuring are Tottenham, with the likes of Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembélé, Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld all likely to start the game.

Speaking to RTBF, the last man on that list explained what he’s expecting when he faces England’s captain.

He said: “Harry is a fantastic kid. He works for the team. He’s an incredible forward with enormous qualities. He can do a lot of things. He can score from anywhere with his right, his left, his head. He’s quick. We know him well, but he’s good. It’s going to be hard to keep him quiet but I’m confident in our ability to do so.”

The Tottenham centre-back hopes Belgium’s star man, Eden Hazard, will be the difference in that game, rather than Kane, with the Chelsea forward playing as well as he ever has for his national team, according to Alderweireld.

He continued: “He’s very impressive. I hope he’ll be able to keep it up over the next few weeks. Comparing him to a Spurs player? It’s hard to do, but Harry Kane is also out of this world. In his role, Eden is really special.”
