With Tottenham Hotspur seen as the toughest team to beat in the Champions League’s Group D, the Portuguese media has been giving great importance to Sporting’s clash against the London side this week.

As manager Ruben Amorim prepares for the match, he had been having some problems to select his defence.

As reported by A Bola, the manager started having his ‘headaches’ with Jeremiah St. Juste and Luís Neto being out of action.

And at the weekend’s match against Portimonense, centre-back Gonçalo Inácio was also substituted at half-time.

As said by the story, that generated some ‘apprehension’ that he could miss the match against Tottenham as well.

However, according to the very same A Bola, the 20-year-old was part of the training session on Monday and should be available for the game.

That’s the ‘good news’ for Amorim, who has one less problem ahead the clash against Tottenham.

With not many more defenders ready to play, the coach still had to call Etienne Catena from Sporting’s U-23 squad and Jesús Alcántar from the B team, meaning it’s possible one of them also features against Spurs.
