Fotomac claim Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has held talks with Ryan Babel’s agent with regards to a potential move in the summer transfer window.
It’s reported the 32 year old’s agent Winnly Haatrecht was in Istanbul recently to meet with Comolli and has confirmed to the Fenerbahce chief his client is available to move to the Istanbul club if they are interested.
After joining Fulham from Besiktas for €2m during the winter transfer window, the Netherlands international’s spell with the London side is likely to end if they are relegated to the Championship. Scott Parker’s side are currently 13 points from safety.
Galatasaray are also said to be keeping tabs on Babel, who will become a free agent at the end of the season, but according to Fotomac their bitter rivals Fenerbahce are now in the frame.
The former Liverpool winger has made 9 appearances for Fulham since arriving at Craven Cottage in January and has scored 2 goals.
Earlier this week he told De Telegraaf: “Out of respect for Fulham, I’ll only hold discussions later, when there is clarity about the sporting future of the club.”
