Turkish website Sporx report Fenerbahce’s new sporting director Emre Belozoglu is keen to sign Everton striker Cenk Tosun.
The Yellow Canaries are expecting to part ways with Vedat Muriqi this summer, and Sporx claim Belozoglu is looking to sign Tosun to replace the Kosovo international.
It’s reported Belozoglu has held talks with Tosun personally and if he manages to convince the Everton attacker over a return to Istanbul, he will instruct club director Selahattin Baki to start official talks with Everton.
Tosun previously stated he wants to continue his career in Europe and a return to Turkey was not on his agenda, however, the situation seems to have changed in recent weeks and he could be heading back to the Super Lig.
The 29 year old is still recovering from a knee injury he picked up whilst on loan at Crystal Palace and he desperately needs regular first-team football ahead of the Euros next summer.
Sporx also report any deal for the Everton player is likely to be a loan due to Fener’s poor financial situation. West Brom may be a more attractive prospect for Tosun, after the Baggies were linked earlier this week.
