Celtic can expect a large contingent of Real Betis fans when the two sides meet in their final Europa League group game on December 9th.
That’s according to ABC Sevilla, who say a large contingent of the Spanish side’s fans are planning to make the journey to Celtic Park for the game.
The game between the two sides is likely to be a decisive one for qualification from Group G, and a ‘spectacular atmosphere’ is expected for the game.
Celtic have already informed their fans that tickets for the game have sold out, and they are now waiting for Betis to put theirs up for sale.
The Spanish side are due 5% of the tickets for the game, so around 3,000 tickets as Celtic Park has a capacity of 60,832.
These are expected to be snapped up by ‘many’ Betis fans, who will be ‘taking advantage’ of the December bank holiday and are planning to go to Glasgow to support their team on what they consider a ‘such a special event.’
That’s because Celtic are seen as a ‘historic rival’ and a club on which Betis’ colours of green and white are based.
In other words, Celtic fans would do well to prepare themselves because the Spanish are coming in their droves when this game rolls around.
