Last week, Spanish website Todo Mercado Web had an exclusive article saying Valencia had picked West Ham’s Simone Zaza as a target for the January market.
The club would be looking for a new striker, and as there will be a meeting to discuss possible signings, manager Cesare Prandelli mentioned the Italian’s name.
Today, Italian website Tutto Mercato Web has an exclusive article saying that Valencia have picked Swansea City’s Borja Bastón as a target for the January market.
The club would be looking for a new striker, and as there will be a meeting to discuss possible signings, the Spaniard’s name will be mentioned by someone there.
Yes, the information is basically the same. Difference is that they don’t mention Cesare Prandelli this time, and say that for the Spanish striker, Valencia would have already started the first contacts.
Bastón is said to be a real possibility and Valencia will be working hard for it to happen.
We’re not sure of what to make of this. Maybe a source is whispering little by little, or maybe Tutto Mercato Web got a list of targets and is publishing a name each week.
Anyway, reports from Spain also suggest Valencia are really after a striker, so these rumours aren’t hard to believe. The Italian website doesn’t say how much Swansea would ask for Bastón, even though we know it wouldn’t be cheap as the player has only just signed from Atletico Madrid for €18m.
