Karim Benzema is going through a tough time at Real Madrid right now.
A solitary goal in La Liga so far this season is nowhere near good enough for Real Madrid’s main striker, and the criticism is growing.
Once again it’s pointed out Alvaro Morata and Moriano are both doing much better than Benzema this season, despite having to leave Madrid because the Frenchman remains the main man.
More cuttingly, West Ham’s Javier Hernandez is also brought into the picture. Chciharito would have loved to stay at Real Madrid for longer than his Manchester United loan dictated, even though he couldn’t find a way past Benzema.
The Mexican then moved to Bayer Leverkusen before ending up at West Ham, and Spanish newspaper AS point out that even he has more goals this season than Benzema.
Indeed, four league goals is quadruple what the Madrid star has, and Hernandez isn’t yet considered a brilliant West Ham signing.
Struggling so much they’ve sacked the manager, AS clearly think it’s most cutting to point out that West Ham’s striker, sent away from Madrid without a thought given to a permanent transfer, is more prolific than Benzema this season.
