Rangers have enjoyed a good start in the 2020/21 campaign and remain undefeated in all competitions this season.
Steven Gerrard saw his side last suffer a defeat at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen and that came in last season’s Europa League knockout tie in August.
Rangers have drawn on four occasions this season, twice in the league and two times in the Europa League. They sealed a 2-0 victory over Lech Poznań in Poland this week, and the latest win helped them top the group in the European competition.
Gerrard’s men scored 13 goals and conceded seven in six group stage fixtures of the Europa League.
The Spanish newspaper has labelled Gerrard a ‘top’ manager and stated Rangers were ‘one of the sensations’ of the Europa League.
Rangers are also leading the Scottish Premiership table with 44 points after 16 games, 14 points ahead of second placed Celtic, who have two games in hand.
This season, Gerrard could guide his current club to their first league success in 10 years, and should Rangers win the title, the praise the 40-year-old is currently receiving from the European press will amplify.
