Loïc Badé has been linked with a multitude of clubs in recent months as it becomes increasingly clear that Sevilla are ready to part ways with the defender.
In November, Aston Villa and Newcastle United were reported to be keen on the 24-year-old and at that time the Spanish media reported Sevilla would require something close to €30m to sanction his sale in the January window.
A few days ago, it was Liverpool and Newcastle United being linked with a move for a central and Spanish newspaper AS put the price for a winter market move at €25-30m.
Earlier today, French newspaper L’Equipe reported Aston Villa have opened discussions to sign the player.
ABC Sevilla now give their take.
The Spanish newspaper reports they’ve been able to confirm what L’Equipe earlier claimed, and they then add their take on the current situation.
Badé is described as being ‘one of the most sought-after players in the current Sevilla squad’ and it’s reported Aston Villa transfer guru Monchi was in attendance on Saturday as they drew 1-1 with Valencia. The defender played the whole match.
ABC Sevilla report their local club are ‘asking for more than €20m’ to agree a January exit, and whilst no formal offer has arrived so far, talks are being held.
