La Liga side Real Sociedad are planning a double move involving Newcastle United this summer, according to the Spanish media today.
As reported by El Gol Digital, the first one would be the arrival of Rafael Benitez. Even though caretaker manager Imanol Alguacil has been doing a good job, Real Sociedad consider their squad to be pretty good, and would like to have a better man in the position.
The outlet says Benitez’s future at Newcastle United is currently ‘unclear’, and that’s why he’s one of the options on the table.
The other target would be Ayoze Pérez, who El Gol Digital say is being disputed by Real Sociedad and Real Betis.
The report claims that bringing Benitez to the club would help in the task for Pérez, as he could make the move along with his boss, who’s he’s ‘very happy with’.
However, no talks with Newcastle are mentioned in the story.
