Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly met Espanyol’s demands for the transfer of 21-year-old goalkeeper Pau López.

According to Marca, Spurs accepted to pay €600k for a one-year loan, which will also give the London club a €7m buying option.

The Spanish newspaper there’s no deal yet, but the Catalan club already consider the player as gone, ‘give him up for lost’, and they’re already looking for a replacement.

This story is in some disagreement to what they’ve published last week, when Marca had a headline saying “no more presents” and claimed Espanyol weren’t keen on a loan deal.

Maybe that’s why they say that no agreement has been made yet, although the article doesn’t give any details on what is missing for the transfer to be done.

What seems to have pushed things forward is the Spanish season starting and Pau not being first choice.

This is Spurs so could very well continue until the end of the window, when Espanyol will break down and send Pau to White Hart Lane gift-wrapped for £7.29 and a signed Harry Kane shirt.
