Before Marco Silva was kicked out of Watford with no desperate reason for the switch, there’d been a string of men gone through similar.

Prior to Silva it was Walter Mazzarri, now doing a reasonable job at Torino, and then it had been Quique Sánchez Flores, now keeping Espanyol far away from La Liga danger, and before him it was Slaviša Jokanović, who got the club promoted and is now looking to do the same with Fulham.

Parting ways with Watford isn’t a stain, and Flores did a good job with the club, which led to him being linked with Everton to replace the departing Roberto Martinez.

Ronald Koeman got the nod instead at Goodison Park, then being replaced by Sam Allardyce, and many fans would like another change in the summer.

That’s when Flores could come back into the picture.

Spanish newspaper AS report, in their Thursday edition, that Flores wants to part ways with Espanyol in the summer, and his priority is a return to English football.

Everton looks one of the more likely destinations for Flores, and it’s a story which wouldn’t be a surprise should it surface towards the summer.
