Samu Saiz was so determined to return to Spain in the January transfer window that he actually moved to Getafe midway through December, then having to wait to make his debut for the club.
Things haven’t gone as well as the Leeds United player will have wanted, and he hasn’t made an appearance for Getafe since February 9th.
The club are currently fourth in La Liga and Saiz can’t find a way into the team, which reduces the likelihood of Getafe signing him permanently.
Multiple reports in Spain have claimed that Saiz isn’t keen to play for Leeds United next season, and if he can’t stay where he is then he’ll hope for other Spanish options.
El Gol say Valencia will provide one for him.
The club are said to have zero doubt about the potential signing and ‘will begin to negotiate’ with Leeds as long as Getafe don’t do the deal themselves. It’s claimed the signing was considered in the summer, and Saiz would arrive to replace Denis Cheryshev.
