Catalan newspaper Sport have a full page feature in their Monday edition, talking about the possibility of an exit for Munir.
The 20 year old leaving Barcelona would be no surprise to anyone, although a stay in La Liga had been the more expected option.
Barcelona have been strongly linked over the past week with a move for Valencia forward Paco Alcacer. Valencia don’t want to sell the player, but are having problems meeting FFP regulations, so a transfer is still possible.
Sport say Munir was a consideration as part of a deal, but now there are other options. Tottenham Hotspur are brought into the equation, and it’s claimed the London club see buying Munir as ‘a good market opportunity’.
However, that doesn’t quite fit in with Barcelona’s idea of having a buyback clause in any deal for the youngster. Tottenham are said to be set against such a thing, and Sport say it was the same situation with former Barcelona player Sandro.
Mauricio Pochettino has apparently received very good reports about the youngster, and is an avid watcher of Barcelona games.
