Malaga and Swansea City have reportedly reached an agreement for the loan transfer of Borja Bastón.

According to El Desmarque early this morning, after some though negotiations, the clubs sealed a one-year loan deal. The player’s will was crucial for the Premier League side to let him go and still pay for part of his salary.

They claim Malaga will have to spend a lot on the player’s wages, as the deal will take most of the money the club will earn with Sandro Ramires’ €6m sale.

The striker is now expected to travel to have his medicals and sign a contract, as the Spanish club want him with the squad by Wednesday.

Baston still has a contract with Swansea until 2020, as he signed a four-year deal when joining from Atletico Madrid last year. The €18m investment obviously wasn’t really worth it, and the player is leaving the UK with only one goal scored last season.
