On Wednesday, website Transfer Market Web came up with a report saying that Chelsea may loan out Alvaro Morata in the winter transfer window.

The article claimed that the list of clubs who are interested in the striker would be Atletico Madrid, West Ham United, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan.

The story got bigger when covered by the English press, where the Daily Star has made a big noise saying the Hammers could be making an attempt for the Spaniard.

Then we finally get to Spain, where Manolete is covering it for AS, and adds a bit of insight to the story.

Manolete writes that Alvaro Morata’s staff wouldn’t see the West Ham move with bad eyes, even though there are some interesting options in Italy.

He points out that the striker is having a hard time to get enough game time at Chelsea, and by getting a starting spot at other club, he would be more sure that Luis Enrique will include him in Spain’s next squads for the Nations League.

AS’ report highlights the West Ham option because that’s what the Daily Star did, and they didn’t want to have the work of searching the original report. So we better hold our horses here, because although the Hammers are getting all the attention, many other clubs seem to have the very same interest.
