Ousmane Dembele’s situation has been a complete drama on Monday. There were still sections of the Spanish media suggesting a move to Manchester United as possible in the morning, and then came a blow from France.
RMC insisted there was no chance of Dembele moving anywhere, and he would continue at Barcelona and try his best to have a good season with the Blaugrana.
Then a little more optimism was edged back into the situation, with various claims of a move to Old Trafford still being possible. That Dembele didn’t train with Barcelona on Monday afternoon obviously raised eyebrows, and then Ronald Koeman told the Dutch media he needed to get rid of a player in order to sign Memphis Depay.
That looked like the Barca manager putting pressure on his club to sort out the situation, so Depay could arrive from Lyon.

Sport, a Catalan newspaper, now report the deal isn’t dead, but quite complicated. They say Manchester United and Barcelona are studying the possibility of a move, presumably a loan, being completed with a medical.
That could help the situation, given the lack of time left.
