Manchester City have been linked with a move for AS Roma’s Bruno Peres several times in the past. The Brazilian defender is on loan from Torino at AS Roma, who also have the option to sign him permanently.
According to Spanish newspaper Sport, Barcelona are also keen on signing the 26-year-old. Barcelona’s technical director Robert Fernandez has been taking a closer look at Peres, and was in Italy this weekend to watch the right back.
Sport claim Manchester City tried signing Peres this summer, but he ended up at AS Roma. It’s been reported Peres could cost any interested club €20m, but would be available only in the summer.
Peres has been heavily involved for AS Roma this season, and he seems to be a key player for Luciano Spalletti. AS Roma could also sign Peres permanently and sell him for a higher transfer fee, but that remains to be seen.
It must be said Bruno Peres is fortunate to be getting these links to top European clubs like Manchester City and Barcelona. Maybe Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique are really interested, but there are probably better targets out there.
