After The Sun first reported that Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Ander Herrera on Thursday, Marca in Spain, followed by RMC Sport and Paris United in France reported the the Ligue 1 winners are negotiating a deal with the Ligue 1 winners.
The 29-year-old’s current deal at Old Trafford will expire at the end of the season and Les Parisians wanted to secure the services of the Basque player on a free transfer.
On Friday, several reports in England have dismissed the former Athletic Club Bilbao man leaving the Red Devils as a free agent and now Mundo Deportivo in Spain have joined the mix.
The Catalan newspaper’s Manchester correspondent Dani Gil has carried a report saying Hererra and the 20-time English champions ‘continue negotiating’ over a new deal.
It is claimed the Spaniard has been in talks with the Premier League outfit for six months to extend the contract and is happy with his life in Manchester and at the club.
In the past, Herrera has expressed his desire to extend his stay at Manchester United beyond this campaign and his environment have dismissed the rumours linking him to PSG.
“The rumour of his departure to PSG should not be taken seriously,” a member of Herrera’s entourage told Mundo.
