Joe Hart’s future has been questioned at Manchester City, after the appointment of Pep Guardiola.

Many believe Guardiola could be looking to sign a new goalkeeper this summer, and those claims are stronger than ever after Joe Hart’s disappointing performances at the Euros.

According to Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Guardiola wants Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo at the Etihad.

MD say Guardiola wants a goalkeeper who is good with his footwork and can initiate attacks from the back.

Joe Hart is said to be well aware of the situation, and he knows Manchester City are in the transfer market for a goalkeeper.

The Premier League side are interested in both Barcelona’s goalkeepers, but know a deal for Marc-Andre Ter Stegen would be extremely difficult.

MD reckon Claudio Bravo could be officially presented as a Manchester City player next week, but Barcelona are not yet aware of Manchester City’s interest in the player.

That’s because Bravo hasn’t told them yet, and it’s likely Manchester City have approached the player’s representatives first.

However, Barcelona are well prepared should Manchester City make an offer for Bravo, because they know Guardiola is looking to sign a goalkeeper.

It could be a win-win situation for all parties involved. Ter Stegen has been complaining about the lack of playing time at Barcelona, and selling Bravo could be the best solution for the Catalan giants.

A deal is far from being agreed, and it remains to be seen if Manchester City can complete a transfer.

The question ‘Is Claudio Bravo really better than Joe Hart?’ is likely to be asked several times next season if a transfer does go through.
