Real Madrid’s transfer window hasn’t really kicked off so far this summer, but that could be all about to change.
The club are expecting incomings, but also several outgoings, which will raise Zinedine Zidane extra transfer window spending money.
One of those players who is firmly in the ‘sellable’ bracket is Mateo Kovacic. The 22 year old only signed for Real Madrid a year ago, leaving Inter Milan as they once again worked to balance the books.
Kovacic hasn’t been prominent at Real Madrid, with Spanish newspaper saying his period at the club has been ‘bittersweet’, but it’s worth remembering that despite Kovacic having bags of experience, he’s still a young player.
AS bring up interest from Liverpool and Everton, and Kovacic would be a good signing for either of the Merseyside clubs. There could be a great, and good value, deal available for the Croatian before the transfer window closes.
