For the entire season, we’ve been covering how disappointing Andreas Pereira’s loan spell in Spain has been, and how the local press continues to give him more and more chances to show what he came for.
Some outlets even claimed to be sure that he’s not staying any longer than his contract allows. Reports said Valencia won’t make efforts to extend the loan or sign him from Manchester United on a permanent deal.
But there’s still some hope, especially from Deporte Valenciano, a local outlet which is constantly saying that Pereira is having his ‘big chance’ for the Mestalla club soon.
This Wednesday, the website has a headline for the midfielder’s ‘final challenge’ as he’s set to have a few more chances in the final fixtures of the Spanish league.
Deporte Valenciano writes “the truth is that it seems difficult for him to continue in Mestalla but neither his future at Manchester United seems hopeful”. In other words, this loan spell has been a disaster.
That’s why the Brazilian has a few more weeks to convince Valencia, or even Manchester United, that he still has some potential. Otherwise, things won’t look good for him when he returns to Manchester this summer.
