Following today’s reports from France saying Leicester City are keen on the Getafe defender Dakonam Djené, the Spanish press now has their view on the situation.

As outlet AS covers the claims, they say that the 26-year-old would actually be more keen on staying in La Liga than joining the Foxes.

It’s said that back in November, when Getafe renewed the player’s contract, president Ángel Torres promised him he would make his exit to a big club easy.

That would sound like good news for Leicester, but according to AS the player wants to develop his career in Spanish football, with the dream to play for a club who fights for national and international titles.

That’s why AS believes that Sevilla are serious contenders to get Djené. The club have already made a first offer, and even though Getafe rejected it, a second move is still expected.

However, with Leicester looking ready to make a bid, we wouldn’t rule out the move for now. Most players now dream of a Premier League move, and it shouldn’t take the Foxes much effort to convince Djené as well.
