Gareth Bale Mundo Deportivo September 2ndThe summer transfer window hasn’t even gone cold yet, and already the Catalan media are winding Real Madrid up ahead of next year.

Gareth Bale seems thoroughly happy at Real Madrid and the club are thrilled with his progress, but Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo have decided to stir the pot nonetheless.

In their Friday edition, Mundo Deportivo say Jose Mourinho is keen on making Bale his 2017 Galactico signing for Manchester United, and they believe there could be signs of discontent for Bale at Real Madrid.

Attempting to drive a huge wedge between Cristiano Ronaldo and the rest of Real Madrid’s stars, Mundo Deportivo say Florentino Perez wants everyone to be aware just who the true top man is at the club.

Therefore, Bale is likely to get nowhere near Ronaldo’s €20m a year contract, and it will be made clear that Ronaldo is a step above everyone else at the club.

The Catalan press like this potential story, so we’ll probably hear it for the next 10 months or so. Should Bale continue his improvement, then the idea will be further encouraged.

Mundo Deportivo say the future of Bale is ‘uncertain’, that’s probably wishful thinking on their behalf.
