The race to be Deportivo La Coruna’s next director of sport rumbles on in Spain with various names being added and taken away from shortlists.
Leeds United’s Victor Orta continues to pop up and has been reported on for a few weeks now as a possible candidate for Depor. It’s been the Spanish club doing the running for Orta, but that’s not to say they’re certain they want him.
If just half the Spanish claims around Depor are to be believed then they’ve been contacting and considering a wide range of candidates and can’t decide who they should make the most effort for.
El Periodico de Aragon come with the latest claims and it’s more of the same, a group of names and Depor deliberating.
What is interesting is the snippet they have on Orta. The newspaper says they know that in England it’s taken as almost ‘fact’ that Orta will be leaving Leeds United and returning to Spain.
There’s no elaboration on this, or further explanation as to why they feel that, perhaps they’ve been speaking to some Leeds fans.
