Claims from Spain on Friday state that Unai Emery has rejected the chance to take charge of Everton.

Marca brings a story saying the Toffees were the first to knock on his door, but the manager has thanked them for the opportunity and said he needs more time before taking a new job.

The Spanish newspaper reports Emery considers it to be too early to take charge of a new Premier League side, since it’s not been so long since he left Arsenal.

This is not the only offer the Spaniard has had in the past few days. It’s claimed that two Chinese sides have made him offers as well, but he’s declined both, as he’s looking for a club who can offer him the chance of winning relevant titles.

Marca finishes its story by listing all the titles and European finals reached by Unai Emery, basically saying he’s good enough to wait for a better job to show up.

Everton were ‘the first to knock on his door’, however, he wants a ‘winning project’.
