The Spanish media is full of stories covering Rodrigo Moreno to Leeds United today.
Several local outlets have been saying the negotiations are advanced, and the player could join the Whites in a transfer worth over €30m.
And a lot has been going on this afternoon, which we’ll summarise in this story.
We first saw a different stance being taken by Radio Esport Valencia (via Plaza Deportiva). They understand that the transfer could be done soon, but said earlier this afternoon there’d been no direct contact between the clubs yet.
They claimed Leeds’ sporting director ‘could’ be in Valencia to close the deal, but the clubs were yet to hold a meeting.
It’s said there are other clubs who’ve been interested in Rodrigo and could come in for him later in the market. That’s why Valencia don’t want to rush on a decision. However, if a good offer from Leeds arrived, they wouldn’t be against taking it.
That may have already happened.
Deportes Cuatro is another one with an update this afternoon. They report Valencia chief executive Anil Murthy is trying to convince Rodrigo to take Leeds United’s offer.
The deal would be worth €30m plus bonuses, and they only need a positive response from the player to close the transfer.

Finally, there’s been some exciting updates from Twitter, a couple of journalists say the transfer is pretty much done, with clubs and player agreeing the move.
Julio Insa and Iñaki Lopez both claim that Rodrigo is moving for €30m plus €10m in bonuses.
