Chelsea have reportedly made a €75m (£64m) offer for the Real Madrid striker Álvaro Morata.

Spanish newspaper Sport says the English clubs have identified Morata as a good target because they think the striker could adapt quickly to the Premier League game style. The article put Chelsea as the ‘latest team’ to join the race.

Arsenal were reportedly the club to show the strongest interest so far, but the Gunners have offered only €45m for the Spaniard, which is still too far from what Real Madrid want.

Catalan newspapers usually disagree with what is published by the Madrid press, but in this case, they are saying that Chelsea have offered exactly what Marca claimed as the player’s price in a piece we’ve covered yesterday.

Maybe they misread the Marca article, who knows.
