The future of Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho is a huge talking point in the Spanish media, as they expect Barcelona and Real Madrid to battle it out for the Brazilian.

Liverpool are understandably reluctant to sell Coutinho, and the player has admitted he is happy at the club under Jurgen Klopp, but that won’t stop interested clubs from chasing him next summer.

According to a latest report on Spanish website Ok Diario, Coutinho is set to become the most valued player in the world.

Ok Diario say a year ago it was made clear that Paul Pogba would make headlines during the summer transfer window in 2016, and the same can be said about Coutinho next summer.

It’s been reported Real Madrid are very much keen on signing the 24-year-old, but face competition from Barcelona. Xavi’s recent comments on Coutinho has led the Spanish website believe that Barcelona have already started to ‘tinker’ with the signing of Coutinho.

At the moment, the Brazilian seems to be more than happy at the Merseyside club, and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has a lot to do with his recent progress on the pitch.

There’s nothing much new here, but the Spanish press don’t seem to want to let this one go, which increases the chances of Coutinho having his head turned.
