Earlier, we covered Sky Germany reporting that Southampton were on the verge of signing VfL Bochum defender Armel Bella-Kotchap.

Despite sounding very sure about the move, the outlet couldn’t say how much the Saints were paying for his arrival, with the player said to be signing a four-year contract with the club.

It turns out that Bella-Kotchap has now even pictured in Southampton’s media room, and Foot Mercato journalist Santi Aouna brings a few more details about the transfer.

His report claims the player has ‘just committed’ to the Saints on a five-year contract, and his transfer will cost the Premier League side €11m.

The price is also back up by Sky Germany journalist Sven Westerschulze, who points out that by moving for that amount, Bella-Kotchap turns into VfL Bochum’s biggest sale ever.

The 20-year-old’s potential at the Bundesliga side had long been watched by Premier League sides, with Tottenham Hotspur also being linked to him, and Southampton seem to be getting the signing guaranteed for a fair price.
