Southampton are ‘ready’ to sell Sofiane Boufal this summer, and there are suitors across Europe interested in his signature.

That’s according to L’Equipe, who report on interest from French side Angers and the competition they are facing for him.

They explain that last week saw the Ligue 1 side attempt a ‘major coup’ to bring Boufal back to the club, believing he would be a ‘market opportunity’ that would bring ‘creativity and efficiency’ to their attack.

They ‘entered into discussions’ for the Morocco international, but he has asked for time to reflect following the initial contact.

He wants to stay with a club in one of Europe’s top five leagues should he leave Southampton and has already rejected offers from China and the Emirates.

Angers are not his only option, though, with Olympiakos also keen and Real Betis in Spain having made their interest in him known.

He is therefore reflecting on his options, with Southampton ‘ready to sell’ the forward as he has one year left on his contract.
