Southampton star Graziano Pelle has another year left on his contract at St.Mary’s, but has been tipped to leave this summer.
The 30-year-old is apparently keen on returning to Italy, and has been linked to a host of clubs including Juventus.
According to a report from Italian newspaper Il Tempo, Lazio could also be interested in signing Pelle, who is currently on international duty with the Italian team at the Euros.
Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito is looking for a replacement for Miroslav Klose, and has Pelle on his wish-list.
Il Tempo say Pelle could cost Lazio €11m, which is the same amount Southampton paid for him two years ago.
Pelle has a few suitors in Europe, and his performances at the Euros could boost his chances of signing for a big club in Italy.
The Southampton star managed 14 goals and 7 assists last season in 36 appearances, and was on the scoresheet against Belgium in Italy’s opening game at the Euros.
