Having managed to turn things around at Southampton, Ralph Hasenhüttl is planning for the future now, and he’s looking at who could take his team to an extra level.

According to Dagblad010 in the Netherlands, one of those could be Abdou Harroui, who currently plays for Sparta Rotterdam.

The 22-year-old has been in fine form for the Eredivisie side this year, scoring three goals and assisting eight others in 23 league appearances, which has caught the eye of the Austrian manager.

It’s said a scout was present at the Het Kasteel last Sunday to watch Sparta’s 2-1 loss against FC Groningen, which the player started and during which he picked up an assist.

While the result wasn’t there for his team, Harroui clearly demonstrated his ability once again to try and help his side, and the Southampton talent spotter will have undoubtedly left impressed.

The 22-year-old has previously played for both Netherland’s U20s and U21s, and will likely be hoping to somehow impress Ronald Koeman enough to earn himself his first cap going forward for the Dutch national team.
