Throughout this week we’ve brought you various updates on Southampton midfielder Mario Lemina and a potential move to Monaco.

The Gabon international has been linked with a move away from St Mary’s all summer, with Ralph Hassenhüttl having no place for him this season.

Monaco are keen on his signature as they look to add a midfielder to their squad and can’t get Tiemoué Bakayoko from Chelsea.

Both L’Equipe and RMC covered the story today and said the two clubs were negotiating over a loan deal, with the latter adding Lemina was keen on the move and had already agreed on terms with the Ligue 1 side.

However, it seems things are progressing well in the negotiations as Yahoo! Sport France journalist Manu Lonjon is reporting Lemina has already travelled to Monaco ahead of the potential move.

That suggests a deal is close to being completed and Lemina will finally get the move away from Southampton he’s been after all summer.
