RB Leipzig are targeting a summer move for Southampton youngster Tyler Dibling after signing Kosta Nedeljkovic from Aston Villa in January.
That’s according to BILD, who report that the Aston Villa youngster’s arrival was the start of a focus on youth from the German side.
The newspaper explains that Leipzig are determined to add to their squad in the summer and add ‘leading players’ who will make the squad ready for the title.
They also want players who are young, hungry and highly gifted. Top talents who will develop into stars and then be sold at a higher price. Kosta Nedeljkovic is seen as one such player and so was signed from Aston Villa and Southampton’s Dibling is also on their radar.
He’s on a list of several emerging talents they’d like to sign, and work is already being done ahead of the summer transfer window.
The plan is to strengthen the squad and as soon as possible as they plan to challenge for the title again and continue their history of developing talent to be sold at a profit.
Southampton are likely to demand a big fee for their rising star, of course, so it remains to be seen how they treat any approaches in the coming months.
