Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly close to signing the Southampton star Mario Lemina.

The information comes from the French media, where Soccer Link say the clubs are getting to the ‘final stage’ of negotiations.

Lemina would be joining Wolves on a loan deal, with Nuno Espírito Santo’s side paying £1m to have him for next season.

In case the player does well, then Wolves would have the chance to make the move permanent, and the agreement includes a buying option of £19m.

The outlet claims there are just some details to be sorted between the clubs. That means a disagreement regarding the buying option, since Wolves want it to be triggered in case Lemina makes at least 30 appearances for the club.

This sounds a little weird, because if it’s an option, and not an obligatory clause, Wolves could use it the way they want it to. Unless the option is mandatory, and that hasn’t been mentioned.
