According to a claim in the Turkish media, Goztepe are looking to close a deal for Southampton midfielder Joe Aribo.
Following Southampton’s relegation back to the Championship, multiple players are expected to leave St Marys’ and the Nigerian looks to be heading to the Super Lig.
Yenis Gun have reported on Goztepe’s pursuit for the 28-year-old and they say the player is on the verge of signing for the Super Lig side.
Southampton and Goztepe are both owned by Sport Republic and this has seen Saints players being transferred to the Turkish club over the past couple of seasons.
The Turkish club have impressed this season following their promotion to the top-flight in the last campaign and are already looking to the summer window.
It’s claimed transfer talks between the two clubs will commence in the coming days and that Juan Silva and Kuryu Matsuki will return to Southampton after their season long loan spells with Goztepe.
Aribo has made 36 appearances for Southampton this season, scoring three goals. He’s contracted to the Premier League side until June 2026.
