Southampton’s Nathan Redmond is expected in Istanbul this afternoon to finalise a loan move to Beşiktaş.
That’s according to Haberler, who say the Turkish side will pay €1.5m to loan the forward for the remainder of the season.
Earlier today we covered how Redmond was closing in on a move to the Super Lig side, having fallen out of favour under Ralph Hassenhüttl.
Haberler now follow that up, stating that Beşiktaş are keen to ‘enrich the wing rotation’ and will sign Redmond on a one-year loan to do so.
A deal has already been agreed, with Southampton pocketing €1.5m as part of the agreement, and Redmond is expected to land in Istanbul at some point this afternoon to ‘speed up the contract details’.
He will also presumably undergo a medical ahead of completing his move from Southampton, although there’s no suggestion there will be any problems on that front.
Should things go smoothly, and he is announced before tonight’s deadline in Turkey he will become the third arrival from the Premier League this summer alongside Arthur Masuaku and Dele Alli.
