Italian forward Manolo Gabbiadini has failed to make an impact at Napoli this season, and is expected to leave the club in January after the arrival of Leonardo Pavoletti.
Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis recently admitted Manolo Gabbiadini doesn’t fit in Maurizio Sarri’s playing style, and that made things clearer on the future of the 26-year-old.
Gabbiadini has been linked with moves to Everton, Stoke City, Southampton and Wolfsburg. However, according to a latest report on Sportitalia (via Tutto Napoli), it’s Southampton and Wolfsburg pushing ahead for the 25 year old, and they’ve already offered around €17m-€18m for Gabbiadini.
Napoli are considering the offers, and could close a deal for around €18m plus €2m-€3m in bonuses.
Sportitalia believe Wolfsburg hold the advantage over Southampton at the moment, but that could certainly change in the coming days. Gabbaidini has managed just 3 goals in 17 appearances this season, and his future could be resolved as early as next week when the transfer window opens.
