It’s another day, so there’s another Manolo Gabbiadini rumour in the Italian sport media.
However, this one is slightly different. Bologna do get a mention from Calciomercato, as the striker’s former club almost always do, but it’s Lazio who are pushed front and centre.
The club’s sporting director Igli Tare is described as a big fan of the player and has tried on several occasions to get a deal done.
Now there’s said to be a good opportunity for a January move, because it’s claimed Southampton have fixed a price for the player’s exit.
They would allow him to go on loan for €2/3m and then set a redemption fee of €13m.
It isn’t explained whether that redemption would be compulsory, but given the high price of the loan it’s unlikely.
The figures are thought to be affordable for Lazio.
AC Milan, Fiorentina, Sampdoria, and of course Bologna, are also credited with interest.
