Record will not let go of Talisca to Liverpool.

On Thursday the Portuguese newspaper explained the Reds now have an ‘open path’ to sign the player from Benfica, with Besiktas failing to take up their €21m buying clause before the end of May deadline.

Friday’s edition of the same newspaper goes over the same claims, explaining Liverpool have a free route to negotiate the deal, after the Turkish loan club failed to come up with the money.

It’s added the Brazilian is currently waiting for Jurgen Klopp’s club to make a ‘concrete proposal’ for him.

This time there’s no mention of interest from Manchester United or Wolves and those tracks appear to have cooled down somewhat, even from a purely rumour perspective.

AS Roma are also said to be keen, but it’s Liverpool presented as the likelier option, with no full explanation given for that.

It’s conceivable the Premier League club could be interested in Talisca should they fail to secure a deal to sign Lyon’s Nabil Fekir.

Even if that is the case, it’s likely Benfica and their player will have to wait a while.
