Venezuelan star Yeferson Soteldo has spoken to his home country’s media this week, talking mostly about the aspirations he has for the national team this year.

Interviewed by Ruta Vinotinto, the winger said he hopes they can do well in the World Cup qualifiers and win a place in the tournament in 2022.

And it turns out he’s also been asked about his future, and revealed he has the wish of playing for a specific Premier League club.

“I have the dream of playing for Manchester United,” Soteldo told Ruta Vinotinto (via Libero).

Signed by Santos from Huachipato in January 2019, Soteldo has been having a great time in Brazil, currently leading the Vila Belmiro side in their Copa Libertadores campaign.

But despite showing good potential, the 22-year-old is still to draw the attention from the European market, and hasn’t even been linked with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side yet. He’s had proposals from Brazilian and MLS sides, and that’s why he’s just been protected by Santos with a new contract.

So it doesn’t sound very likely that he’ll fulfil his dream of playing for Manchester United in the near future, just like many other footballers and kids around the world.
