Manchester United’s Antony has impressed since joining Real Betis on loan in the winter market.
The winger has managed seven goals and four assists from 20 games for the La Liga side, and that includes a late winner against Espanyol at the weekend.
Real Betis don’t have a purchase option but have repeatedly expressed their desire to retain the Manchester United man. As things stand, he must return to Old Trafford after this season and the Red Devils have to make a decision on his future.
Trivela now report the Brazilian’s asking price has been set and also the date to start negotiations for his transfer.
Recent claims from Spain stated Atlético Madrid are interested in Antony and Manchester United have set a €40-50m price tag.
According to Trivela, Ruben Amorim’s side are demanding €40m to sell the attacker in the summer window. Sources close to him informed the outlet that two clubs have contacted his agent.
The report claims the talks were to find out about the Manchester United owned player’s plans for the future. The talks weren’t advanced, and figures weren’t brought up during discussions. Trivela makes no mention of these two clubs but makes it clear Atlético aren’t one of them.
His agent should travel to Europe in the ‘last week of May’ to hold talks with Manchester United.
There’s also a possibility for the former Ajax man to continue at Real Betis, but no formal talks will take place until they finish their season.
There should be clarity on where Antony could play next season after his agent’s meeting with Manchester United.
